Creating Your Vision Board: A Tool to Manifest Your Dreams and Goals

A vision board is a visual representation of your dreams, goals, and aspirations. It’s a collection of images, quotes, and affirmations that inspire you and motivate you to take action towards achieving what you want in life. It can also be seen as a collection of all those screenshots of your favorite designers and hot hot stuff that you browse online and save in your poor gallery, even when you know your current account balance does not support your actions, but at least you have a vision that you’ll be able to purchase them someday. Just someday when your pocket or purse gets heavy. This, we call FAITH because what God can not do….. I bet you know the rest!

Vision boards can be created in various ways, such as on a physical board or digitally through a platform like Pinterest or Canva. In this blog post, we at JacyLaura.com, will help you explore the benefits and importance of creating a vision board and how to create one that would suit you.

Benefits of Creating a Vision Board

1. Clarity

A vision board helps you gain clarity on what you truly want in life. This, most times, is one hard nut some people find difficult to crack. They’ll be thinking and thinking but nothing seems to be clear. Within them, they know they want something, but they’re just not sure what it is or how to achieve it. Vision boards help to clarify such lost thoughts. When you start creating your vision board, you will have to think about what you want to achieve and what is important to you. This process of reflection helps you clarify your goals and aspirations.

2. Motivation

A vision board serves as a source of motivation and inspiration. Remember the good old days where we used to chant “Morale – high! morale high!!”, in the barracks or even at the NYSC Orientation Camp. These were, if I should say, auditory forms and representations of motivation that kept us pushing and going farther in accomplishing whatever task we had at hand. Now, imagine having motivational and inspirational pictures on your wall; this would serve as a pictorial representation of motivation for you. When you see images of your goals and aspirations every day, it reminds you of what you’re working towards, and it motivates you to take action.

3. Focus

A vision board helps you focus on your goals. You see, it’s one thing to have a vision, and then it’s another thing to stay focused. This five-letter word, ‘Focus’, seems so easy to pronounce; you’ll just open your mouth ‘waaa’ and then focus is pronounced already. It also looks so easy to do, but I’m going to tell you here and now that it is difficult. If you don’t train your mind and senses to focus when they need to, then you might just fall out of line. It’s actually easy to get sidetracked by the day-to-day distractions, but when you have a vision board, it reminds you of what’s important to you, and it helps you stay on track. So, start putting your mind to creating your vision board.

4. Manifestation

A vision board is a powerful tool for manifestation. This right here, is a great benefit for my religious brothers and sisters. You know what they say about your tongue holding so much power? Well, this is where you bring the power of your tongue to play. Manifest it. Keep talking about great things you want to achieve. Don’t just use your tongue to be gisting and updating your yard people about the latest happenings in your area. Not that I’m saying it’s bad, but c’omon have something else to use your tongue to do. By creating a vision board, you are putting your dreams and goals out into the universe, and you are focusing your energy on them. The Law of Attraction states that like attracts like, so when you focus on what you want, you attract more of it into your life.

How to Create a Vision Board

1. Set Your Intentions

Before you start creating your vision board, it’s important to set your intentions. Ask yourself, what do I want to achieve? What are my goals and aspirations? Write them down and be specific. Be specific, don’t go and be writing long story anyhow. Also, be realistic because some people, if you leave them, they’ll just be setting intentions that seem impossible and undoable – intentions that don’t have head or tail.

2. Gather Materials

Gather materials such as magazines, pictures, quotes, and anything else that inspires you. You see in this second step, it’s like you’ll have to turn yourself into all those people that walk around carrying sacks, picking all sorts of objects from the ground. I think they call some of them iron-condemn or so. So brace up, because this might just be your new job. Okay – just kidding. In essence, all you’re required to do is gather enough materials to help you in creating your vision board. You can also use a digital platform as mentioned earlier, like Pinterest or Canva to create your vision board.

3. Start Creating

Start creating your vision board by arranging your images and quotes in a way that inspires you. All those magazines, pictures, quotes, and even iron-condemn that you’ve gathered so far, it’s now time to arrange and create it to match your energy and inner spirit. This will in turn, help to inspire and motivate you. There is no right or wrong way to create a vision board. It’s important to make your own and personalize it to your taste.

4. Display Your Vision Board

Once you have completed your vision board, display it in a place where you will see it every day. Don’t go and hide it in one hidden corner in your house, shop, or office. The essence of creating your vision board is to have something that will motivate and inspire you in achieving your goals. So don’t hide it! Display your vision board in an open area, where you can easily see it as often as possible. You might want to display it outside your building, but think about those funny neighbors that you have that like taking what doesn’t belong to them. So be on the safe side, and display it inside the building. It can even be on a wall in your bedroom or in your office. The important thing is to make sure it’s visible and easily accessible.

In conclusion, a VISION BOARD is a powerful tool for manifesting your dreams and goals. It helps you gain clarity, motivation, focus, and manifestation. Creating a vision board is a fun and creative process that can be personalized to your taste. By creating a vision board and focusing on your goals, you can achieve anything you set your mind to.
