1. You Have A Brain to Make it Big in Life

Firstly, as silly as it may sound, the number one thing you should actually be grateful for is the fact that you have a brain. Yes, you have a brain upstairs; that means you can definitely succeed.

You have a tool, an equipment to work on, and working on your brain would of course lead you to success.

Now the question is – “Are you putting your brain to work?”, “Are you developing it?”, or “Are you just leaving it idle to rust and decay?” because if it’s the last option then something is totally wrong. Mbanunu, that shouldn’t be your case.

The earlier you start developing your brain, and preparing it for success, the better, because your brain and your mindset are the first things you need to work on in making it big in life.

2. Define Your Success

Secondly, do you know that many people have different definitions of success? The way JacyLaura.com sees success might not be the way you or someone else sees it.

So you need to know what success means to you. In fact, you need to have your own unique definition. How would you define it in your own terms? When you hear “Making it big in life“, what comes to your mind? These are things you should look at to define your own success.

Also, the moment you can paint a picture of what your success should look like, then, at that moment, you can plan strategically towards it. Did you see the grammar I used there; “strategically” – because everything successful in this life came out from a well planned strategy.

In essence, just make sure that you have a clear picture of how you want to make it big in life. And if the picture is not clear enough, don’t worry, just keep painting – if possible enter market and buy original paint.

Even though you might not be understanding the process, or things are not working out the way you had planned, just hold on and have faith that it will all turn out well some day.

Think positively and say to yourself everyday – “Yes, I’m gonna make it”, “Yes, I’m great”, “Yes, I’m the best” – and be affirmative because you will achieve all of them in no time.

Again, they normally say – “You are what you think“. That is to let you know that anything you allow to occupy your thoughts, gradually forms to reality. So endeavor to keep your thoughts positive, and filled with success, and watch how you would succeed in life.

4. Show Great Level of Commitment in Making it Big in Life

Next, you have to be committed. We all know nothing good comes easy nowadays. You want to make it big in life, and not show great level of commitment? No nah, it doesn’t work that way. To even become a successful business owner, you need to show great level of commitment.

Be committed and intentional about your success goals. As soon as you set your goals, always keep track of your progress. Check how far you’ve gone, check what is left, get yourself a good source of inspiration, be self-motivated, and always be affirmative.

Additionally, showing great level of commitment in achieving your success goals is just like the type of commitment we show in relationships. You met a fine bobo or a fine babe, and the love is already shacking two of you anyhow. Of course you would want to show commitment, to let the other party know how important and how serious you are about them. You want them to know that you are determined to take the relationship to the next level – but not the type of “Next Level” that a West African leader promised his citizens o.

The same principle works with showing commitment to your success goal. You would give it all your best to make sure you get to the next phase, and then the next phase, and another phase, till you finally attain your goals. You should try your best to stay committed for you to succeed and make it big in life.

5. Learn As You Grow

Furthermore, it is believed that the journey of a thousand miles, starts with one single step. In your journey to success, and making it big in life, learning is a vital tool. Even when you go through the ups and downs of life, take it as a learning process.

Instead of feeling bad each time you make a mistake, why not learn from it? Learning from your mistakes would keep you knowledgeable and give you more insight as you journey along.

In addition, have fun while you grow, while you’re still in the process of succeeding, and see how it elevates your spirit. Dey try to dey enjoy yourself, dey smile every now and then because problem no dey finish.

What I’m just trying to tell you, basically, is that everything is a process, and it’s important to learn as you grow, embrace your mistakes, have fun while at it, and become a better version of you through each phase.

6. Eliminate All Distractions

Finally, the last thing you want to do to succeed in making it big in life is to eliminate all distractions. Take out all forms, shapes, colors, and sizes of distraction away from you.

You can start by reducing the way and time you spend in watching television and social media platforms. Reduce it kpatakpata. It won’t help you, believe me. Reduce it to like, let’s say 85.6% so that you can at least, use the remaining 14.4% to watch local and international news, and know what is happening around you. Incase they’ll wake up one day and say “Everybody should start running o”, you’ll know when and where you’re running to.

Now, let’s also use the relationship and love scenario as an example here. As a man, imagine you’re in love with Funke, but Amaka and Amina keep entering your eyes small small. What are you to do as a loyal ‘Funke-Lover‘? – You’re expected to stick to Funke, wash your eyes, and flee from the other two. Even if they keep presenting themselves to you, you don’t want to be distracted from the love you have for Funke (or do you?).

Again, as a woman, imagine you’ve fallen for Chidi, but Femi and Mohammed will not let you be. It’s as if both of them had a meeting and swore never to leave you alone. So what do you do then? – You have to dismiss and stay far away from them so they don’t distract you from reaching your ‘Chidi-Goals‘. You can’t afford to lose a man like Chidi, not in this 21st century that some girls’ eyes are shining like torch.

In a nutshell, I’m just saying – Eliminate ALL distractions!
